Gass Turek is pleased to announce that Partner John Franke will begin a six-month term as a reserve judge in Milwaukee County beginning Monday, June 13. His appointment was requested by Chief Judge Mary Triggiano as part of a coordinated effort by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court to reduce a backlog of nearly 5,000 cases that has developed over the pandemic. Before joining Gass Turek in 2009, Judge Franke spent 21 years on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court bench, presiding over more than 650 jury trials.
Judge Franke has made a full-time commitment to this project and will not be taking on new work at Gass Turek until the end of this year.
